We were drawn into this place by a very personable fellow. Given a few choices for seating on the outside patio. The place was very busy, yet the staff worked well to give good service. We had iced cold beer to start. I had the fried squid rings with fried potatoes and a salad. The rings were OK. My husband... More

One of the best lunchtime meals we had during a recent Lisbon trip. Fresh fish at its best with great service. I will recommend for a relaxing meal in the sunshine.

Visited Chequers in Cascais (Portugal) as part of a European Hockey trip with our Daughter and her team mates. Enjoyed an excellent meal, my wife had the steak on a stone which was delicious and I had the Golden Bream which was very good. Service was very good and the value for money was excellent - 24 of us ate... More

We were at this place on Christmas Day 2016. We waited 1 and a half hours! We were then served with raw Sea Bass and an uncooked Mushroom omelette. We were crushed at a table outside with many other diners. The waiter was running up and down but they just seemed to forget about us? We paid 30 Euros for... More

One hour for two pizzas and a hamburger. How difficult could it be when it's only 4 guests. Good food? No. Good service? No. Tourist trap!!!

The food in this restaurant was great, particularly the Brás cod fish, however the restaurant needs to improve the heating system and keep doors closed because we felt cold while eating and eating with jackets on is quite uncomfortable. Tables downstairs are small and too close to the bar counter. Prices are honest. Too pity they did not have the... More

Me and my colleague went to this place as we did not have a great lunch in the afternoon. This place is a typical touristy place and the food was average at best. The ambience is nice and the service good. We had vegetarian pizzas and pizza garlic bread the food was too much for 2 of us and we... More

Don't let the hawkers turn you off. This place has excellent fresh grilled fish. We had a whole Sea Bass and Bream for 13.90 each with veggies and potatoes. The sangria is over sweetened, so stick with beer and fish and you'll have a great time. Excellent outdoor view of the plaza also.

Took 2 hrs for food. Waiter went home without placing our order and management couldn't care less. So many nicer places in Cascais.
