Visited this busy seafood restaurant on our day trip to Cascais. We did not have to wait long before our party of 3 were seated. As we sat down they brought us a bread basket with pate and olives. Some reviewers feel strongly against this but if you don't wish to pay for it, don't eat it. After all it... More

Relaxing place off the side of the main tourist hub, was nice not to be hounded in to the restaurant. Delicious seafood (this is coming from someone who doesn't usually eat fish!) and the waitress was very helpful advising me on what to eat. Sangria was particularly delicious - we had to order a second litre! The atmosphere was relaxed... More

We had lunch at this restaurant today. After ordering our meal the waiter placed olives, open container of cheese spread, bread and small containers of pate on our table as part of our meal order- we did not order any appetizers. My lunch of cod fish and chips sat in an inch of grease. After our meal we ordered a... More

This restaurant is a rip off: 1) The prices are unreasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you get. 2) The service offered from all seemingly above 60 year-old waiters is subpar and at times accompanied with questionable and bold comments. 3) Any request given to the waiter took ages to be handled including the food which took one... Food is great and service is relaxed. During season it is good to have resevation ot star your dinner before 8.30. Place was full in fifteen minutes after half nine.

A bit hidden away from all the other restaurants on a large square nearby, the Tasca da Vila serves decent traditional Portuguese food. Had clams bolhão pato (clams in white wine, garlic and coriander). Nice meal. Generally, Cascais is a bit expensive due to all the turists. Service was friendly.

A bit of rip off place, wouldn't recommend. It tells a bit about the restaurant that when someone walking by drops few euros from his pocket by accident the waiter just picks it straight to his own pocket..

Fun in the sun if you like your sardines on the street. A popular little eaterie with a decent-looking menu. All the dishes looked freshly-made and our sardines were worth the wait. We'd chosen National Day to have sardines for lunch, but most restaurants weren't serving them until the evening. Cheerful team of waiters and an avuncular owner.

I wandered the streets looking for a place to have lunch, and this little place looked inviting enough to stop. I sat outside and had my first meal in Portugal. Not disappointed at all. The sea bass was fresh and perfectly grilled - seasoned with a little olive oil. So good. Yes, they do charge for bread and olives....all Portugese... More

Absolutely delicious food: grilled sea bass, sardines, octopus and finally one of the best seafood in my life - Portuguese cataplana. Very nice, friendly and supportive owner, quick and attentive staff, good house wine and atmosphere. We have chosen this restaurant as we have noticed many locals entering and enjoying the food (whole 3 generations families). if we will be... More
