Little restaurant O Barrigas in the Fado-area of Lisbon, Bairro Alto. Lovely mashed patatoes and a nice waitress that could be the daughter of Penelope Cruz.

The restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening and looked nice, but unfortunately none of us were impressed by the food. We ordered the salted cod which was not cooked properly and came swimming in oil and raw garlic, with hard potatoes. The seafood rice wasn't much better and starters random. Service was good, the waitress tried hard and the... More

Stumbled across this restaurant during a recent visit to Bairro Alto. The service was excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend the Spicy Prawns for starters and Octopus and Prawns for mains (special of the day). Overall a very enjoyable meal.

Service was poor and the restaurant manager was very unpleasant. We were pressured into dining quickly. If you are looking for good Portuguese food, in this restaurant you will not find it.

My partner and I had dinner tonight and it was sublime. He wasn't really hungry so he went for a spicy prawns starter and it was super delicious. I went for the special on the board, octopus and prawns. It came with an amazing garlic sauce, potatoes and spinach and it was to die for!! The octopus was cooked perfectly,... More

Very tasty food.. Good portion size.. Small place but authentic looking. Came on a Sunday, pretty busy, lots of people inside, after us some couldn't get in since it was so busy. Good service. Satisfied.

The chicken was not done. The cheese they give you before the meal was a simple supermarket cheese - but expensive. Boring, tasteless, go and find another place.

Let me start by stating many of the negative reviews, that I've read are misleading. The five star ratings are misguided. The staff is extremely nice, after you put forth effort to communicate, after opening the awkward glass front door. The Nepali hostess/waitress/assistant is simply lovely; like all people from Nepal where we have been. She alone had me consider... More

It was really friendly and welcoming. We had arroz de gambas and it was 100% fit to what we wanted for the dinner. In the diversity of restaurants in this part of Lisboa I would still recommend it out of several neighbors.
