Lunched here on a beautiful sunny day. Stunning views of city. Service was professional and attentive. Food was high quality and well presented. Reasonable value. Definitely worth a visit.

I visited Restaurant Tagide last night (19th May-17) as a party of seven. We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to a beautifully presented round table to accommodate us all. We were given breads with four types of butter, all of which were really good. This was followed by an amouse bouche od fish tartar which we were not... More

Tapas was full but they served us at the wine bar. It's was so nice of them to do that. We had the chef special and all was great!

This is a fine dining restaurant. The staff were very attentive. They were accommodating as we went with a younger child. The menu is a bit limited but this is to be expected in a restaurant such as this. Read it before you go so you won't be disappointed. There is a good selection of wines. The starters, mains and... The ambiance, personnel and food were excellent. I strongly recommend to those willing to taste excellent food, wine and still be received by well educated an kind personnel.

Very nice food, but i could not have Tapas selection as supposed to be, so was only Octopus normal plate. And the dessert was very nice too. Nice music.

We visited the Tapas and Wine bar for a late lunch on our last day in Lisbon after reading about it on the Guardian website and so glad we did! It was about 2:30pm when we arrived so we were a little worried they wouldn't serve us (a sign on the window said they closed at 3pm) but we were... More

You must ring the doorbell to get in. The door was answered by a man who did not look happy that we were there. Service was bizarre. We were convinced that the bus staff was filling in for regular waitstaff, as the service wasn't less than informative and at times non-existent. Several tables got up to retrieve their water and... I had taken a break from writing reviews but this place is so great I have to talk about it. We found this restaurant on TA and it is great. First, the view. It sits on a hillside near the river with a beautiful vista of the sailboats and hills that surround the city. The food is amazing! I had... More

First of all, there are two restaurants at Tagide. This review is for the wine and tapas bar, which is adjacent to the more formal Tagide restaurant. We loved the food and wine here. We had amazing garlic shrimp, delicious charcuterie and cheese plates and an inventive and tasty smoked salmon and guacamole dish. Service was very friendly, but a... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
