Pretty hard to find this place as it tucked away of the beaten track but the effort was well worth it. We shared a platter of Portugese charcuterie and cheeses which was described very well by the waitress when she brought it to our table,...More

This is a fun place for tourists. The food is ok - nothing particularly special but not terrible either. The music was dire - some random guy playing Wonderwall and Red Hot Chili Peppers so basically my idea of musical hell. The atmosphere is buzzing...More

We went to grapes & bites yesterday. When we came the staff were on and friendly. But once we got the wine and ordered the food we were forgotten. The water didn't come, no one refilled the wine during the entire evening (we did ourselves)...More

Located in the heart of Lisbon, in a mandatory visit neighborhood as the Bairro Alto, just a few meters away from Chiado, you find in this Wine House a committed team in a relaxed, family atmosphere, accompanied by live music that animates every night. Between the passion for wines of Antonio Baeta and the passion for cuisine of Silvia Mendes, we get the alchemical mixture of two key ingredients that make the success of this house. On the one hand, more than 1000 national references between white, red, green, sparkling and fortified wine, where the vast majority can be tasted by glass, or even taken home bottled, on the other hand, a continuous search for the best Portuguese delicacies turned into simple dishes, but with great flavor, from cheese and sausages boards with homemade jams, to mussels or scallops gratinated, seared canned tuna, or even cod or octopus in the oven. Upstairs this XVIII century building, fully redone, you can find a room for the night in a cozy environment. Six bedrooms, some with private bathroom, a mixed dormitory, a common living room, a common kitchen where breakfasts are served or where you can cook your own food and an outdoor patio, make of this Hostel a selected place for those who like to enjoy the night of Bairro Alto, and want to stick around. Enjoy every moment of the two spaces in a relaxed way and with quality. Wine House Open every day from 12h00 to 24h00.
