When we return to Lisbon this pastelaria will definitely be on the itinerary! This is good food at decent prices. A long established business - dates from the 1920's I think, they have kept the key features of that time, which are huge mirrored cabinets behind the counter, plasterwork and chandeliers. Enough of the ambiance, you want to know about... More

One of the most charismatic coffee shops in Lisbon, built in 1922 in the Art Nouveau style. Situated on Avenida da República. Ideal for a morning break, light lunch or a cake tea. Take the Tube (yellow line) to Saldanha. After a refreshing break walk down Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo to Marquês de Pombal round about and then down... More

A beautiful quaint premises with very nice staff, delicious cakes and very tasty coffee. Any time I called in and I called in quite a lot this place was buzzing with people having their bica's, and other drinks. The selection of cakes and pasteries on show was mind boggling and choosing one above another proved very difficult. The staff were... More

I ate at their locations both at the airport and in the city during my time in Lisbon. The city location is amazingly beautiful - it's worth a visit just to see the lovely interior. I could not stop looking around at the paintings and decor. It's definitely a lovely place for a break. It seemed that most folks patronizing... More

Terrific spot to meet people and to go on time machine 1 or 2 centuries back, excellent choice of cakes and drinks with larger than life sense. Patisserie is a real Ali Baba's cave for cake lovers, but be aware in a sweet term-you are only to blame yourself to indulge in something which you have ordered. Very helpful and patient... More

Versalhes, by tradition, have, best sweets and cakes for the Season. You need to reserve the best traditional King cake, otherwise, you have to wait long time, before you leave the shop. Loads of people buy all kind of sweets, available only on this occasion.

We visted this on the way to the Metrol to go down into town. I'm very glad we stopped! The shop opens into a fairly decent size restaurant with a massive glass chiller along the right hand wall featuring all their delicious cakes and pastries. We were shown to a seat and told the waiter what cakes we wanted. We... More

A crowded, loud and busy place. Pastries and coffee were good, nothing extraordinary. Much better than the 'touristy' pastelarias in the centre of the city. The building itself is beautiful.
