We got in this restaurant at the last minute by increasing the # on our friends prior made reservation. When you enter, it has a cozy atmosphere with polite service. Food orders are made, we chose the prix fixe menu and enjoyed our choices. Each meal course is served in advance of each performance. There were 4 performers total and... More

I'm surprised that the reviews for this restaurant are so variable. I went with some people from my tour group on the recommendation of our guide, who said that when it came to fado, this is the real thing. We took the fixed price option, but still had plenty of choices for appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. I am... More

This was our second Fado experience in Lisbon and we really enjoyed this one as much as our first one. The performers were very good and very passionate in their performances. Food was good but quite expensive in fact more than any other meal in Lisbon during our stay. The cover charge options really add up before you even order... More

Nice decoration and environment but all very quite due to the Fado ambience. Food is good and remains very Portuguese/traditional. Service is kind and efficient. As for the prices, these are ridiculously high... for sure 3 times what they worth in comparison with similar restaurants for the same food and drinks. Hotels and travel agencies commissions need to be paid... More

This is a fun place to sample Fado. Three different Fado singers performed the night we were there. Though not an expert, it was interesting to note the difference in the way each singer expressed passion through her voice. I was a little disappointed in the food. The dishes were tasty but far from stellar. Service was great. There is... More

I truly enjoyed this well known Fado restaurant experience. The food was very good and not overly expensive. While dining, the service totally stops when the Fado music begins. A Fado singer performs for 15 minutes, then leaves. The dining service resumes for another 15 minutes, then another Fado performer sings and the service is stopped until the performer is... More

We do not have any experience from other similar Fado - restaurants ,so our rate is relative. About the dinner, it has some starters, and the main course was a fish (dorado). There was also dessert and coffee. We spent 55 euro per person (group price), including the wine and drinkings. We think that the price was high. The place was very atmospheric, and... While visiting Lisbon, our group took the recommendation of a local to sample traditional Portuguese cuisine and traditional Fado music. The entire experience was worth the price fixe cost. The Fado singers and musicians were excellent. The singers performed between each course. The dinner options were unique ranging from squid to turkey stakes. Dinner included soup, entree, dessert and unlimited... More

A small intimate restaurant which is off the beaten track. It's situated in a small basement with around a dozen tables. It has the formality of yesteryear local restaurants with the staff dressed formally and the manager fussing with the menus. The food is more wholesome then refined. The Fado performance is great, delivered with passion in between the food... More

This restaurant was a recommendation from our hotel for a traditional meal and fado and I believe it was of good quality. We had 2 main courses, bottle of wine Euro 27, some white port, coffee but it was Euro 180. We should have discussed the bill but it was in Portuguese so we didn't understand it!
