wanted somewhere away from all the touristy places and areas and stumbled across this place which immediately looked appealing because of the semi outdoor terrace section. The waiter George was so professional and helpful but we waited 15 minutes for our drinks as he seemed to be on his own. The sushi all came together and although it was beautifully... More

This restaurant was recommend to us as a great Japanese restaurant but is just ok ! Basic menu and so so in terms of quality. The service was efficient but pretentious. The ratio price/quality is not fair.

This place is part of a “chain” of restaurants, being the elite version of the 3 of them (as far as I am aware) – the other two are located in shopping malls – one is an almost grab’n’go and the other one a proper restaurant that serves many similar dishes to this restaurant (although there are some exclusives here)... We were excited to try this restaurant after seeing all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed after having our meal. We ordered the ebi roll and the mille-feuille tuna tartar to start, we then ordered the hot roll, apple roll, spider roll, and the strawberry maki and finished it off with a chocolate cake with sesame... This was an amazing meal. Highly recommended. Perhaps the best sushi I've ever had. Easily the most interesting combinations of flavours. Fantastic attentive service and great recommendations given by my waiter. This place seems to be the best kept secret of Lisbon.

The sushi cafe is a very nice place (specially the interior part) with a very pleasant staff. The sushi is good but not spectacular. The nigiri are not so fresh as I was expecting. The sashimi is good. The entree, Mil folhas de tártaro de atum, is amazing. I went there twice in a row, and I can confirm if... More

Yes, this is the best sushi I have ever tasted. We followed the waiter suggestions and we couldn't have done better. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection, congrats to the chef :D The only downside was the price, a bit too expensive for portuguese standards, but we do understand that this is not the typical "fast food sushi"... A spectacular japanese restaurant located near Avenida Libertad in the city center. Not only spectacular but also much more than a standard sushi eatery. You will enjoy a creative author japanese food like gosyia of leeks with a light spicy sauce. The miso soup comes with sesam seeds and it was delicious. The Portugese staff is very polite like Japanese... More

If this is the first time you open our menu, Hajimemashite!(Nice to meet you!)If you are already a customer, He Yôkoso!(Be welcome!)The age and the familyIt was on the 13th December 2005 that we opened the SushiCafé Amoreiras and we never imagined that after 6 years we would be here and already with 4 restaurants established (SushiCafé Avenida, SushiCafé Amoreiras, SushiCorner Colombo e SushiCorner Atrium Saldanha). We are now a numerous family and all of this owed to you. Thank You!The Fish qualityAlthough we changed the dimension we never changed in what is really important, the fish.We still buy the best Tuna in the world, the Bluefin. It belongs to the specie Thunnus thynnus, from the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the bluefin is the largest tuna there is and therefore the most tasteful, we may see the different types of meat as the akame (less fat), chu toro and ho toro (more fat). Our tuna is captured according to the Japanese know-how. The tuna capture is probably as important as its quality, in a deficient capture it loses blood which means losing quality and flavour. Our salmon is upper category, 1st class of the three existing categoriesWe only buy large dimensions of salmon from Norway (6 to 9kg each) as it preserve better the flavour and consistencyWe wish you an excellent meal and relish with the best of Japanese food.Itadakimasu!Expression meaning gratitude mentioned before meals!
