A re-open night club, this sushi place is runned just like that, a night club. Hard to find, although is in a major street of Lisbon, when entering the building you'll be (not) welcomed by a bouncer and be sure to have the correct answer to his question or you'll be looking for another place to eat soon. If you're... More

Maybe I should have ordered the 'traditional' menu, when I got my take-away evening meal at Sushi Fashion, because their fusion menu was a bit too much for my taste. There was IMHO too much garniture, mayonnaise and experimenting in one tray. Why put a side salat in a tray of sushi? The fish was fresh and tasty, but in... More

We went to Sushifashion for my husband's birthday and had an excellent experience! The food was delicious, the staff were charming and the meal was very affordable. We went on a Sunday night and had all-you-can-eat for E20. The staff were very accommodating as I can't eat raw fish right now, so they brought out more cooked rolls than they... More

After more than 2 weeks in Lisbon we have found another very good restaurant in Lisbon. Tired of the irritating smog over the city from all smokers, with all cigarette butts all over and inconsiderate smokers everywhere, the very run down houses all over Lisbon, the dog pooed stoned streets, lack of good food markets, speeding locals, wrongly parked cars,... A very nice, modern and small restaurant in Chiado. The menu was only in Portoguese and Japanese, not in English, bur our waiter was pretty good in English and she tried her best to explain to us what the differanse ingredients and fish were. The waiter altso picked out a really great Portogues white wine for us for a reasonable... More

Very astonishing for a very stylish sushi restaurant: they are so sweet with the kids! A relaxing experiance! It tased very good, the plates are beautyfully organised. Pricing is at normal sushi restaurant level with good quality food. Special thanks to the cook and the service! Muitos beijos e muito obrigada!!

Fresh, interesting japanese food we had agudashi tofu and prWn tempura followed by a mixed plate of sushi - sashimi! Wonderful. Management kind and helpful and we returned and asked them to give us it all again as a takeway - freshly made on the spot with the fish cut so it melts in your mouth and at the right... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
