Taken to this restaurant by our tour agent. Had very little expectations as our tour had not provided respectable food thus far. The bread was ordinary as was the soup. We had the pre arrangement main course of piri piri chicken which came served with...More

This place was recommended by the hotel as it was near. We liked it very much. Friendly and hospitable staff, good and cheap food, nice atmosphere. We went there twice in three days.

We had been walking the streets of Lisbon very late when by sheer miracle the owner of Grand'Elias happily took us in. He was about to send his poor staff home at the end of a long day and he let in 8 very desperate...More

Recommended by our hotel as having good local food, we were put off by the tacky entrance, but entered anyway. Obviously other hotels also recommend (perhaps they receive a financial incentive) but it was the worst meal I have had in a long time and...More

Welcoming staff with delicious Portuguese food. Well-drcorated inside, from outside you cannot imagine how big restaurant is. Even they cannot speak English well, but they do their best to help you. I recommend this restaurant.

Decent wine and lovely people, with a great sense of humour - and kindness itself, with cherry brandy given to us to round off the evening. The trouble was - an inedible beef steak, indifferent dishes in general, and just a hint of utter loss...More

This restaurant is popular with the locals and as soon as you walk in the door you can feel the history of a local treasure. The food is great and the servers are all men who have been doing this for years and clearly take...More

Dined here with friends and enjoyed the unique ambiance and service. Was seated in a private room and our food was served without delay. The grilled salmon was tasty and enjoy able and served with potatoe and rice.
