Food was good, nice size portion, but service not great. They're fast and kind to pull you in, but once there, basically ignored. I wouldn't go back.

We ate here 2 nights. The food was delicious and not expensive. Wine list is good and again not expensive. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A lovely restaurant that we went to three times during our 6 night stay in Portugal. Delicious food - both traditional Portuguese and Italian. Super friendly staff who spoke English very well. Ask them to make you up their special Sangria. Lovely sitting outside watching people go by on a warm night. Inside seating also if it's too cool.

Ate here on our second day in town. This restaurant is on a pedestrian street with a couple of dozen open-air eateries, one after another. Service was good, but at Portuguese speed, of course. I had a boiled cod dish and my wife had a well presented tuna salad plate, which she said was delicious. My cod was bland, and... More

We had lasagne for lunch and it was even better than the ones we had last week in Rome. Service was friendly and quick. Good location and price too.

We visited here this afternoon for lunch on our wedding anniversary. The waiter immediately took our wine and starters order. The vegetable soup had no sign of a vegetable, mostly potato as very thick, pulpy and tasteless. The sea food soup was tasteless, watery and the only sign of any sea food was 2 prawns. 15 mins after finishing soup,... More

This is our fourth night at this cosy restaurant, and I can say we have tried half the card and every dish tasted delicious. The staff is great, interested and into some small talk (when possible), compared to other restaurants, where the only thing that measures is to serve as much as possible to as many people as possible.

The guy standing in front of the restaurant pulled us in with promises of good food and because you can see the kitchen you know you can trust them etc. i ordered the risotto with seafood, the others had tagliatella with salmon and a pizza. Before ordering i asked wich seafoods where... More

The menu is a combination of Portuguese and Italian, serving seafood, grill, pasta and pizza. We found the staff very pleasant and provided good attentive service, in pleasant surroundings. There is outside seating available but as it was a little chilly we chose to eat inside. We ate here on two occasions and both times we found the dishes tasty,... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
