The ambience is nice and the location is trendy with a good vibe. Nice selection of cocktails at the bar too. However the food is average: we ordered various fish dishes and they were either soaked in oil or too salty. Good wine selection.

The food was incredible. Our amazingly attentive waiter (even though he was juggling dozens of tables) recommended lovely Portuguese croquettes as a starter, and our mains, a tuna fillet and a cod dish, were absolutely fantastic. The dessert our waiter recommended was also delicious! For the service and quality, the food is very well priced, with a cool and hip... More

This is a very good Restaurant with a very good atmosphere, but the modern hype is not so likeable and the fancy cocktails are better than the food, which is good, byut not really Worth the Money. Water glasses came with a flavour of detergent, which is probably not the norm but does Show hints of rushed hygiene.

I really enjoyed my visit to Bica do Sapato. The staff were very friendly, serviceminded and competent. We had a nice seaview from our table. It was a very short walk from the Metro at the end of the blue line. Most importent-the food was delicious and beautiful! I can really recommend this place!

Trendy and cool restaurant. We tried soft shell crab, ceviche, grouper and cod. It was all excellent. Service was a bit slow but the food made up for it.

Our concierge recommended this restaurant to us, and despite having read some of the mixed reviews on here, we still felt this place was on balance worth trying. The atmosphere is modern, with huge glass windows over looking the river. The menu is varied, with a regular a la carte menu, a sushi menu and a fixed price menu too.... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
