Sinal Vermelho is a treasure of Lisbon we were recommended to dine in by a local. This appears no secret as there is rarely a spare table - I would suggest booking or you can simply rock up & wait for your table which does not take long. We ate there 3 times, it was always flat out. This is... More

Excellent Portuguese food. We both had the specials which were excellent. Ate inside on a busy Friday night. Was worth the short wait and can see why it was so crowded. Decent portions and the waiters were very helpful. Can definitely recommend. Very reasonable prices

We were lucky enough to snag a table outside on a surprisingly warm December evening. Yes, it was busy, and yes, the waiter struggled on his own to serve so many tables - but the noise and the hustle and the bustle just added to the atmosphere. We could dine to candlelight at a posh restaurant at home - what... More

DO not eat here. It is busy and crowded so you may think its going to be great food. I am a massive foodie so I was so excited, I ordered rabbit was so salty I could not even eat it. I left my whole meal, when I approached the waiter he replied that due to the white wine and... More

When in Lisbon, try going to eat where the locals go- there is where you will find authentic Portuguese food. This restaurant was great- Had the rabbit stew and it was amazing! They have a great selection of wine. Highly recommended!

We visited Sinal Vermelho on a Saturday night without a reservation. We got there around 8 and snagged one of the last empty tables. We found the restaurant via a Fodor's guidebook and TripAdvisor. It is challenging to find mid-range restaurants in Lisbon with meatless options, as ny partner is a vegetarian. At first glance, this restaurant didn't have any... More

Every time I am in Lisbon I try to go to sinal vermelho. It's an authentic Portuguese restaurant with a flair of a modern cuisine. Even though I speak Portuguese, the waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu and they are very friendly. They all speak English very well and also other languages too. If you are in Lisbon, it's... More

Good food with slow service. The wait for a table was long also. Still, compensated by the flavors of typical Portuguese food cooked close to perfection. Go early and try the John Dory fillet.

We are going there the last 10 years , at least 4 times. It is definitely more expensive but still unbelievable good. The food is excellent , so typical Portuguese and on parallel has a higher quality. The service is perfect , friendly and helpful and they are having very good wines variety. It's a must for Lisbon.

Thank George S
