After visiting Sintra's Pena Palace and touring the quaint village of Sintra, our business party of 55 sat down for lunch at the Cafe de Paris. Reservations had been secured in advance by the company's travel consultants. Emmental cheese salad with diced apples followed by the main course- mushroom risotto was very good! The risotto was flavorful, but a little... More

We were there with our son and daughter in law and 3 grandchildren . We had just visited Pina Palace and wanted to sit in the sun and eat lunch. This was recommended to us so we went. Probably is a bit touristy and pricey but we were happy. The beer came served in the largest glass I have seen... More

We stopped in for afternoon tea. With a view of the palace, it was a perfect respite from touring enchanted Sintra. The dessert selection was varied and the tea delicious.

We had lunch at Café de Paris on one of my first visits to Portugal a couple of years back, and I recall a very good goat cheese salad and the pretty view of the central plaza in the heart of the centro historico. After living near Sintra for a year and a half, my rosy view has dimmed somewhat.... More

We had our best meal here, although we paid more than anywhere else. It was very quiet though, but excellent service. The food was fantastic, and we sat partially outside with a heater. It was great to watch the world go through Old Sintra.

The restaurant is located at the main square and appears touristy at first sight, exterior not quite meeting the style of the interior. Behind the menus on display outside are, among other, fresh from the grill fish platters at decent prices. The menu offers a vast choice of platters - trust the recommendations of your waiter! The quality of the... More

On our family trip to Lisbon I have consumed so much fish that when I got home, I took a bath and found I could breathe under water for 9 minutes, but my nose wasn't submerged and I did come up for air roughly once every 80 seconds. But the fish I consumed was great in Lisbon, and it was... More

This restaurant is located just across the Royal Palace in the histiric heart of Romantic Sintra. We had a very hearty, freshly prepared lunch of Lamb cooked in traditional Portuguese style and Octopus cooked in olive oil, served on a bed of veggies with fries. A bit pricey but excellent meal. The service too was very good. Certainly recommended !!

This place has the look of a tourist trap and one of the best locations in Sintra. I only stopped in to seek refuge from a pouring rain. Yes, it is a bit over-priced (not greatly so) and pretentious without the real service to back it up. But I had a steak and pommes frites that were perfect. They forgot... More

Came to rest our feet after a long sight seeing day in Sintra. Great place to have dinner and let the crowds thin out before heading back to Lisbon. We had the onion soup (excellent). Don't pass on the cheese and bread cover, it was amazing! We had the grouper with asparagus and lemon risotto (excellent) and the sole which... More
