Once we were seated looking at the menu the waiter brought bread olives some kind of ricotta cheese in its packaging and sardine paste in a tin! ... some locals walked in and were promptly given a lovely platter of real cheeses and cured meats! Why do restaurants assume tourists are ignorant and deserving 2nd rate food! Without us and... More

We were so tired after all mountains and castles, we wanted only beer and good food. And very very nice surprice hidden from tourists eyes :) We tried two home special dishes. Octopus and shrimps with squids. They were very good. Especially squids. Worth asking price 11.5 eur per dish.

4 of us had lunch here, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The waiter was delightful. Certainly go back again.

Following previous reviews we went for dinner and weren't disappointed. Excellent sea bass with great wine recommendation. Visited a slightly pretentious restaurant the following evening so decided to return to Dom Pipas for our final evening. The waiter was pleased to see us return and we weren't disappointed.

This was a well deserved meal after a 3 hour walk. I had veal in port sauce which totally blew my mind. Definitely one of my top meals in portugal. Excellent family atmosphere and a great feast.

Went here for lunch and got a table straight away. Very friendly family run restaurant. Food is incredible and very reasonably priced. Swordfish and banana was the highlight dish! Seafood grilled kebabs are definitely a must try too. Highly recommend if your looking for a traditional experience sitting amongst the locals.

Was brought to this restaurant by our lovely tour guide Marcus, a local. My husband and I had the shellfish rice soup, one of the specialties and Oh...my...gosh, it was to die for...it took 25 mins to cook and when we had the first mouthful we knew it has been cooked with fresh seafood , made to order. Also had... More

Great small restaurant with good food: grouper, monk fish and octopus were wonderfully grilled and served. The service was excellent and very friendly. The food and wine for 4 was 40euros each person. Well recommended.

Good tasty food, good service, nice ambience, not too bad prices. We are stuffed and happy :-) For 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 2 coffees we paid 45 euro.

We stopped here in Sintra on our way up the coast of Portugal. After a tiring day we stopped at Dom Pipas for dinner. The waiter was fabulous and even though he didn't speak English we were able to communicate mostly through laughter He skinned our fish for us and chose our wine for us, both to our delight. At...
