Well, the door bell played a Christmas Carol (way too early in October) and the owner stood me outside "ring the bell when you're ready to come in..." The dining room is big and airy, tastefully decorated and stylish. The food was well-presented though I did get less attention when two Americans came in. I guess the owner reckoned Americans... A wonderful duck risotto and delicious appetisers made for a great meal. Flavours were tasty and surprising so well worth experimenting. Hostess did not speak much English. The best meal we had in Sintra.

A nice classy restaurant in Sintra. Although many tourists, it does not have the touristy feel. As others have noted, you are greeted by the owner who also served us (does not speak English well but easy to communicate with). The food was very good. For my main, I had pork cheeks which had a very robust, complex flavor. The... More

In a side street off the Main Street near the station you will find this charming little restaurant. The menu is small but offers choice to suit everyone. From meat and fish dishes to vegetarian. We came in the middle of the day and at the end of the high season, but we understand it can get very crowded. The... More

Very unique place and we recommend visiting. We ranked 4 because the food was good but not excellent. We were hosted and served by a remarkable, astonishing, old lady that served the entire restaurant by herself!

This restaurant is amazing. Every one of the dishes was way (way!) beyond expectations. It's expensive, and It's totally worth it!

Beautiful dining room. About seven tables in a large, nicely decorated space, so a very individual dining experience. Somewhat more formal than most Portuguese restaurants. Our server was an older woman who didn’t speak much English and ran the dining room in an efficient, matronly manner. I’m guessing she is related to the owner/chef. The meal we had was excellent.... Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to book for dinner and were so impressed we ate there on two out of the three nights we stayed in Sintra. The place is charming in a wonderful old building with high ceilings and relatively few tables considering the space available thus making for a wonderfully relaxed and intimate dining experience....
