We had a delicious dinner with a group of friends last night. Superb food, sophisticated and modern in an elegant setting. Set on the grounds of a tropical oasis in central Funchal. The menu is exciting with a fresh take on Portuguese classics. The cod and alheira starters we shared great, the mains of pork cheeks, tuna and steak also... More

We had the best dinner last night. Stylish atmosphere and yet friendly and casual. The pork cheeks were divine and melted in your mouth, the cod and scallops superb, and the children loved their sophisticated hamburgers as well. Excellent quality, one of the best places we have dined in Madeira.

The service was good, but the food was not exciting, and over priced compared with other better places on Funchal. However the hotel part is five star all the way!

Not quite what we wanted in food choices. Not keen to serve water with meals and would not supply a jug for the table. Clearly wish you to buy wine. Happy Hour a bonus - nice cocktails.

This bar is in a hotel we had stayed at in the past. The bar is very comfortable and has absolutely brilliant views of Funchal. Seats are comfortable and the staff very helpful. A choice of cocktails.

We had the best meal, by far, of a holiday week in Funchal in Casa da Quinta. While we had seen lots of nice places and OK cooking, this one stood far out in terms of taste - there was both effort and skill present, the portions were nicely planned, flavors came out great together. Fine dining at a decent... More

Very relaxing, attentive friendly staff, go early as it gets busy! Great food and Madeira wine for a light supper. There's nothing more to say, except, go!

We were staying at the hotel so had a couple of drinks and one small snack (slice of toast with cheese on)The coffees which were half full cost £9. We understand it is a 5 star hotel but we hate being ripped off. If you have money to burn then go here however there are plenty of other places that... More
