BUT it was well worth the find. Not cheap but we had quality food served to us. A smallish restaurant tucked away in the cobbled back streets of Foz has it's interior bedecked with framed mirrors interspersed with framed photos. The restaurant was quiet the night we went and the service was exemplary. I chose the roast beef, which was... More

Our last meal after 2 weeks in Foz ... difficult to find but worth the search! No signage. Decor was a mix of old-town/historic and swank: many small framed mirrors, B&W photos, e.g., Picasso, Bogey ... ) Few tables but the rainy night served dates and families. Everyone in good spirits. Service was perfect ... attentive but not intrusive. We... More

I have dined at Al Forno several times and it has become easily and definitely my favourite restaurant in town. My favourite dishes include the duck salad and the pizza with smoked salmon. Desserts include excellent ice cream. Another thing I greatly enjoy is the flat bread they deliver to every table.

Good service, the Pizza's are really good and I also recommend the "Steak Al Forno". The room is very small so reservation is really the best choice.

I always go there with the same friend and so now it's sort of a ritual for us to go there again once in a while. However, I acknowledge that the service isn't that good... But the environment around you is nice and the music too! Also, on weekends and holidays you have brunch in Al Forno Café (there is... More

It's an italian food restaurant. The first "Al Forno" restaurant is a very small room in "Foz" neighborhood (Largo do Adro, to be precise) where pizza was made in a genuine wood stove. Nowadays there a few more restaurants of the same owner in the city. However the one at "Foz" still is simply the best. A pizza and a... More

The Al forno (Foz) is a very good italian restautrant. Good pizza and pasta. Nice portuguese wine selection and very tasty deserts. Service is 5 stars! Trully recommend it.
