My colleague and I had the good fortune to be in Porto for a conference. We had four of our five dinners in Porto at Mendi. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was excellent. I had the prawn tandoori with some rice and vegie korma - on two nights! The prawns were fresh and the spices were... More

My husband and I recently visited Porto as we love Indian food. Googled and found Mendi, what a find.... food amazing the restaurant is tastefully decorated. We met the owner Kamal who went out of his way to be charming and very attentive towards us. We definitely look forward to returning.

We went for lunch at Mendi on recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. The panak paneer and stuffed naan were very very good.

The Staff, starting with the owner, are friendly and attentive and the quality of the food and drinks is beyond any remark! It can be expensive at dinner but it is worth it!

Fantastic Family run place, one of the best we have been to in Europe. The food quality was excellent and arguably a bit expensive, however if you compare quality and prices at other Indian restaurants in Porto - this will seem quite reasonable. Starters like Papadom come for price - which one is used to get complimentary but then again... More

On a Monday evening we walked in without reservation. There were a few big (loud speaking) groups, so it took about 10 minutes before we got the menu and another 7 before we ordered. The food was good, but quite expensive (15-25 for a main dish without side dishes). Including rice and naan and two bottles of water we had... More

Had a reservation at this restaurant valantines day. My guest was vegetarian and the owner insisted that we both eat one or the other. Zero public relations knowledge. People. Like this do not deserve any accolades what so ever. Good food as he may have will take a back seat to his very poor conduct. Ended up eating at at... More

This was one of the best restaurants I've been in my trip to Portugal. The food was very good, and the waiters were extremely nice. I recommend it!

When we travel with my wife we always go to at least one Indian restaurant and this one is one of the best we've been to. Delicious food, quite expensive especially for Portugal but definitely worth it.

This little Indian restaurant is quite hidden by the side of the towering & imposing Crowne Plaza hotel. When we entered around 7.30pm on a Tuesday evening the restaurant was quite empty but soon started to fill up. The atmosphere is quite quiet, slow & subdued compared with UK restaurants. For starters we ordered some lamb Samosas which were really... More
