We went to this place as it was on the riverside, on the way back to where we were staying. The food was horrible and the staff were rude. We were presented with very bad appetisers, which we did not ask for (2 bad quality cheese cubes, two old breads, two pots of sardine paste and six mussels that were... More

Before sitting down, we asked the waiter if they had any clams which he said he did. Naturally after settling in, having the small plates put on our table and menus handed to us, we asked for the clams where we were then told there were none. I really felt we should have just upped and left but didn't really... More

This riverside restaurant was the perfect place for lunch on a very hot day. And then we saw the menu of amazing fish dishes. We chose a Mixed Fish dish which had over six fish types each for only 37 Euro for two people - delicious and excellent value when washed down by a bottle of Vino Verde. Perfect setting... More

This restaurant looked so good with its terrace out along the Douro embankment. Comfortable seating and clean linen cloths.Shame the food did not match the same quality. As a main course we ordered grilled prawns, oops sorry they are off the menu, so we plumbed for the monk fish. We received swordfish steaks which we do not like. On querying... More

Dropped in for lunch just after our arrival in Porto. My travel partners craved for some "genuine bacalhau". The place was pretty crowded, but the service went rather smoothly. To me it was a positive surprise when the waiter came up with several vegetarian options (not on the menu), when he learned I was not a carnivore. Even though he... More

Decent food, good portions, but they brought us a wine we didn't ask for and charged us full price, of course... Make sure you understand what they are bringing to your table and that it actually is what you asked for... I would go somewhere else.

I've read with interest some of the unsatisfied customers, we must have been lucky on the day as we found the opposite to what we've read. The young waiter was extremely efficient and courteous, spoke English, helped us to pick a wine to our satisfaction. The food was tasty and fresh , the views alongside the river and the atmosphere... Very tasty and cheap food. You can eat here a sea food, pork, veal and fishes. Almost all prices are under 10 euro. And you need to try the house wine - 10 euro for a bottle !

Very expensive food that was low quality. Cheap foodreheated, lots of attempts to upsell. Classic tourist trap with average service to boot!
