With all the fresh seafood just in front of you, Porto has all the ingredients for a Japanese Sushi man to make his name.Did is what Masaki Onishi did, when he came from Japan to Portugal. The sushi rice is very delicate, the choice of Shoyu sauce very different and the way he prepares his sushis and sashimis get the... More

The food was good but the dishes were served at different times so when one was finished eating, the others main dish would arrive.

Tried this restaurant based upon thé TripAdvisor reviews and the recommendation of the hotel concierge. I have often dined at Japanese restaurants in Porto, and have been invariably disappointed since most of these were of the 'Brazilian Japanese ' variety with creative and exotic takes on sushi. Ichiban is an authentic japanese restaurant, and everything which I tried (tempura, soups,... More

Highly recommend, fresh, good environment, good service. I guess it's not difficult to get fresh fish in Porto, a bit pricey, but affordable.

It's a good place to taste some very traditional sushi, miso soup, sashimi, etc. We had the executive lunch option which includes sashimi, sushi, miso soup, desert and coffee. Very friendly staff. Everything was very good and it's definitely a place to visit again.

I was here in july where I had one of the best dinners I would higly recommend okonomiyaki. Great service, great food, great location. Reservation is must unless u dont have problem with sitting on hogh table watching sushi masters doing their magic. 3 people got full for 75 euros

I really enjoyed our dinner at Ichiban. The interior is modern and minimalistic with some cool deco pieces. Service was very attentive even though we sat upstairs. They also have some kind of bell on the table but we never had to use it to call someone. The food was delicious. We ordered several dishes twice because we just couldn't... More

ICHIBAN continuously surprises one at each visit! Its Menu offers a great diversity of starters, main course dishes, desserts, Beer and Wine list, as well as after dinner appetizers. For starters we had the shrimp tempura; for main course we chose the 20 pieces Sashimi accompanied by sautée vegetables (utterly delicious and beautifully presented!); for dessert the Tofu cheesecake with... They say that the first time you try sushi you either love it or hate it...well this restaurant certainly made me love it. I went with my parents and we really were out of our comfort zone and didn't know what to order, we said this to our waitress and she was super lovely, offered to help us choose the... More

I always choose the lunch time to come to this restaurant so that i can take the most out of the great view (and also it is considerably more affordable than dinner). I love everthing about the experience they provide: music is good, the lunch menu concept (starter, sashimi, sushi and dessert) is very well conceived and delivered. You can... More

Description
The freshness and diversity of the ocean's fishes, together with the creativity and art of our chef, Masaki Onishi, allows you to have an amazing meal, surrounded by a modern and delicate environment, in one of the most privileged locations in Oporto. The restaurant is an "open space", composed by tree levels where you can sit by the windows enjoying the sun, close to the "action" next to our "open to eyes" kitchen or looking at the Atlantic Ocean, in our fantastic mezzanine. A perfect place for an unforgettable meal or a glass of wine during the afternoon, together with some fresh Sushi.
