Very local restaurant with good Portuguese comfort food. Recommended by our tour guide. Good option if you're passing by the region and on a budget.

Went in very early (1930) the restaurant was virtually empty but a very rude waiter shouted at us that they were fully booked.A troglodyte.

A lot of main dishes was not available. Main entrance does not close well, so cold air disturbs continously. Full portions in general expensive. Food quality : excellent chips, good fresh hake fillets and rice de tamboril (monkfish), average grilled squid and sole.

Homemade typical Portuguese dishes and huge portions. The restaurant is sober and clean, run by its owner Don Armando, it is a family business where family women cook the best Vitela al Forno, so tasty and soft that you do not need a knife to cut it. Prices so convenient that you want to pay more for such quality.

We ate delicious traditional and home made portuguese food. Really good quality and taste, pricey but fare for the quality of food and staff friendliness.

Under recommendation of the receptionist of our hostel, we went for dinner to this place with my girlfriend and we can't find proper words to describe how good it was. It's a bit hard to get up to there as it is hidden and uphill. As you get inside it seems a family restaurant pretty much cosy. We first had... More

We visited Adega Vila Mea on our last night in Porto, and we were not disappointed! As per the reviews we had read, the portions were massive...Word of advice, a half portion is more than enough for one person! We had the bacalhau and sardines, both of which were delicious. The service was great, and the atmosphere very authentic. We... More

No tricks cuisine, just the good old popular food in a good old popular environment, with the good old nice and professional service. We had "filetes de pescada" with "arroz de legumes" (red beans and cabbage stewed rice). The fish was fresh and well seasoned. For desert, everyone should try the "leite creme", the portuguese version of "crême brulée". It... More

We went there for lunch with our family we had the best octopus we have had in Spain and Portugal, simply amazing! Portions are really big. You can tell is a family run restaurant where all family members are helping out grandchildren, grandma, aunts .. Nice and rare find we stumble upon walking around Porto. Recommended!
