We stopped here for a small bite after shopping and sightseeing. The food was fresh and service very friendly. It is a small restaurant that is family owned and run. The food is a good example of the local cuisine and wines.

This was our first dinner, in a weeks visit to Portugal, and at the end of the trip we decided it had been the best meal. Waiter helpful, with good English, and assisted us with choice of wine. We ate calamari, sea-bream and sea bass, served with a good selection of vegetables. Also it was the only place that did... More

Very good fish, friendly people, nice place. We found this restaurants by chance, because we were a little bit late (after 3pm) and several restaurants close at this time. But we were happy to have found this one! :-)

Arrived in Vianna do Castello tired and frazzled. Parked in the free carpark and ate at the first place we saw. Fish was excellent, real vegettables with it and a decent Vinho verde. Service was fast and polite. The bill was less than expected. Should have returned having eaten somewhere else three days later which was nowhere near as good.

Found this restaurant just strolling along looking for somewhere to have our evening meal. More than we expected. Food cooked to perfection and portion sizes just right. Desserts were an especial surprise. Overall, understated and heartily recommended.

Stopped in after walking by and eyeing the plates of other diners. Prato de dia €6 was excellent value. Spinach soup and choice of fish or chicken main. My wife chose the fish and thought it was very good, a generous portion too. I had the soup followed by the house special prawns. Had to be eaten with hands, cutlery... More

Good value, home cooked food. Yes, you may have a wait, but it's well worth it. Try the monkfish & rice....mmmmm and its hot unlike some places we have been. The steak was also very good.

Lovely and good value octopus and potato dish - nothing fancy but honest good tasting food. Good and reasonably priced wine. Super service. Fresh vegetables and salads. We arrived very late for lunch (Portuguese lunch time tends to be 12-2 and we were later than 2.30) but they welcomed us in and did not hurry us.

We visited this restaurant without reading any reviews andwere very happy to have found such good food and nice staff. The wine was also good and so it seems to all over Portugal, and we were not disappointed here either. We visited on Easter eve and many places were shut so were happy these were open. We would happily recommend... More
