Don't ever try to go in.. it has the worst food I ever eat. It looks like a nice place, but don't go by the appearances.

We went tonight to this dreadful place which at first gives one a good impression and looks authentic. Service was crap and so was the food. I ordered lamb and got a rabbit head plus tow pieces of some kinda bone. My husbands fish was ok-ish but nowhere near anything one would call good. Watch your bill they cheat!

The polite version would be that they are just not professional, the more realistic version seems to be that they are a fraud. Price for beverages are not published. Ask for a water, receive a 1.5l bottle. Half of the order was forgotten, they made up for it by charging for dishes we did not order. Our bill was 30%... More

Food quality from terrible to poor. Restless, forgetful waiters, dirty glasses, toilets not working properly. Decent house red. Very disappointing, especially as it was recommended in my guide book!

I went to Adega Do Padringo and I could immediately see that it was a family business. Two young boys were helping their father and women were cooking in a very small but cosy kitchen. The food was really good and definitely fresh. We ate: mussels, octopus, soup of the day, sardines and at the end chocolate mousse and a... More

Have eaten out in Portugal for years in many different towns and cities and this is the worst restaurant I have experienced. The best bit is the comedy value of watching the wrong orders going to each table. Inedible starters, dry chicken, uncooked cold chips, a mixed salad with only half a slice of tomato - very poor quality. Check... More

I could start with the guy who runs the place who seems chatty during the day when you pass but in the evening just wants to get as much money as possible from you I would like to have started with a beer and a glass of wine but they don't do beer and the minimum wine order is a... More

We really wanted to like this place as it looks ethnic and had a very freindly guy who greeted us...then it got worse. Check my record, I've reviewed over 70 restaurants and only ever given one star twice. They gave us a sardine dish which was the same as my wife's starter, well done. We heard the couple outside complaining... More

Had a lovely meal here! The atmosphere was great - a very charming, quaint and family-feel to the place. The family who run the place were so friendly and welcoming, and heaped starters and ports on us which was fun and made it feel like an experience in itself. The food itself was fine - no frills but very tasty!
