Situated in busy square in the Plaka district of Athens, this restaurant has a lot of local competition. The food and service make it stand out. The vegetable soup is deserving of a mention and do finish with the baclava.

We came for the moussaka which was pretty average. It obviously wasn't freshly prepared, but just reheated. Prices were okay. Portions aren't too big. Service is not exactly unfriendly, but certainly not friendly either. We wouldn't eat here again.

Estia is located next door to the hotel that I was staying in (Palladium hotel). The service was very good and the mousaka and vegetable soup were the pick for me (I went to the restaurant a number of times).

Our experience at Estia was by far the best in our entire week-long stay in Athens, Greece: We were walking along Kidathineon Street in Plaka around dinner time, window shopping and enjoying the bustling city scene, when my travel partner and I started to get...More
