More of a restaurant but we went for a drink after dinner to listen to the live music. Great band with authentic music. Nice patio too!

We have been here for lunch. Few tourists and a simple menu. Choice is limited ( but still large enough). Good quality and low pricing: 48 Euros for 6.

We visited the Taverna on the eve of 12th of June. As we entered the Taverna we felt that some tension was in the air, which made us feel unwelcome. It didn't help that the waiters were screaming and yelling at each other every other...More

I visit this tavern every evening when I am in Athens. They serve simple tasty Greek food at very good price. They have fresh fish as well. House wine is also good, and there is live music on Saturdays. Love it.

There is an abundance of delicious, fresh food here. We had all veggie (no cheese) options and they were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, but not standing over you the whole time (which I hate!). A definite thumbs up.

Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide
some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost
claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an
interesting blend of original small businesses with
the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently
sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron
Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further
west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of

The Taverna of Psirri, is a traditional greek restaurant, held by a family originated from Paros Island. Established in 1994, by the father of the family, and today run by the two brothers Alexandros and Giorgos, the restaurant remains a classical choice for anyone who would love to taste the original Greek Cuisine. In our restaurant you can taste a variety of greek recipies, good wine, raki, and tsipouro. What makes us differ from the other traditional restaurants? Well, that would be our love for our buissines, our need to maintain the originality of our restaurant, and to contribute to the conservation of the greek tradition, and the greek traditional cuisine. On Saturdays, after 21:30 you can enjoy our live band playing rempetika and folk greek music, while eating. If you want to experience a traditional greek meal in a beautifully decorated restaurant, and of course, traditional greek music playing, this is the place for you! Come and join us!
