Situated Right at the beginning of the Plaka strip. We had amazing music with live musicians and Great service by Andreas! Awesome place they got us all up to dance the Greek traditional dance. They turned an ordinary evening into something special .... I highly recommend this joint. The prices are in the higher side bring located in the tourist... More

I stopped in for a late lunch, and the waiter didn't speak much English so I pointed to the special that I wanted. The waiter pointed out another special at the front of the menu, and I don't recall why but for some reason it didn't appeal to me, so I said no, that I would prefer the special at... More

'If I could turn back time'. I would and erase this place from my memory. Warm bad white wine. Indifferent staff. Cold chips. Cold lamb. How this place stays in business is a miracle with the excellent competition nearby.

If you take out from the discussion the location, this restaurant is probably one very bad! The "Gyros" was probably the worst one I ever tried. The Potatoes were reheated and the greek salad....was just cold...not even the beer was good, because was at room temperature...so what to say: avoid this place! And the last part, the plates and glasses... More

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! The food was not good, rice had a weird taste , oven potatoes not well done. Small portions and ridiculous for 8-9 Euro. We were a party of six. Five of us almost finished and we had to ask twice for the last dish (whice was calimari and didn't come with lemon!!!) Luckily we checked out bill... More

I went here with my friend! It was terrible!! We were promised a 15% discount by the lady who showed us to our table. We ordered and got our food! The food was disappointing. When we were done, we were waiting for a long time to just ask one of the waiters for the bill. When we got the bill,... More

We ordered traditional Greek food. Moussaka and souvlaki, with Greek salad. Everything was average. Not bad and not good

Restaurant close to Acropolis and the ancient Roman market. Nice place, but so touristic. I am not sure, but I think is better for breakfast and coffee (nice view) not for food..

This isn't nice at all. The restaurant has a good location but that's about it. We were a huge group and we were all not happy with our food. It was pre-heated maybe from the day before, the bread was toasted just because it was old too, i guess. If you are super lucky your bread got picked by pigeons... More

The food my friends and I had hete doesn't deserve any praise. It was the most disappointing Greek food we had during our stay in Athens and the wait staff was just terrible. There's a ton of better restaurants nearby-- definitely skip this one!

Thank Kate A

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
