Located in central Plaka in Lysikratous square, it has tables set under the shade of the trees in a very picturesque setting. It looks trendy inside, but we preferred to sit outside enjoying the shade of the trees which was a blessing during the hot...More

We chose this restaurant due to the setting - located in Plaka, under beautiful shady trees. Our family loves greek meat, so we ordered the Lamb Kebabs. This was served at approximately 5 or 6 cubes of lamb on a plate with some chips. While...More

There are hundreds of restaurants in the Plaka, many of them with picturesque locations and outdoor seating, as well as mediocre food. Diogenes has these attributes, but it also has a dirty little waiter who was rude to us for no reason. I had just...More

We had an early evening meal at this restaurant which is located in a lovely setting under shady trees in Plaka. The food was good and the waiter was very helpful and attentive. Prices were reasonable and the menu had a good selection.

We stopped for dinner after visiting the Acropolis museum. The food was so bad that we had to have a second dinner after we went back to hotel. My octopus salad was edible but not flavorful and the fried fish was completely tasteless. The pasta...More

Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains
the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay

squares, some notable museums and the beautiful
Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to
stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a
pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious
