The interior couryard is inviting and very pleasant. Staff is polite, albeit slightly slow in their service. I ve been here a couple of times over that past years, cause I liked the food and the ambiance and so I visited it again last Sunday. I strongly recommend the salad with jamon and goat cheese and the chorizzo. Patatas bravas... More

We were a group of work colleagues having dinner here and were pleasantly surprised. There were choices based on dishes from the Greek Islands and we enjoyed the choice of many small dishes to share. We had a professional singer who agreed to perform a piece, and the manager gladly turned off the canned music to allow this performance. Good... More

Nothing special. They are doing a greek adaptation of Spanish dishes. The indoor space is fine and the service efficient. No value for money.

In the middle of the Exarheia neighborhood, the most revolutionary area in Athens. It is full of students, activists, drug users, coffee-shops and bars and restaurants and amazing graffiti. There in the middle of action you find peaceful Salero. I liked its interior and mostly its inner close garden. It has a spanish style and menu and a variety of... More

How would you react if you found a roasted and terribly big spider in your tortilla? (And not as part of the recipe.) This is what i excperienced myself while eating with my family -including an 8year old girl. Not to mention that the service and the rest of the plates are medium. It was one of the worst experiences... More

2nd visit here after 4 years. Same like before everything was perfect: nice inside setup, good services - answering to all our questions - and very tasty food. We had different small plates from a large variety of foods and everything was well cooked, but the shrimps were the best.

Had lunch at this restaurant in January 2017. The food (steak and salad) were mediocre and the service very indifferent. We had to keep jumping up and down to get the waitresse's attention. It was like she was looking to down to avoid seeing us. The salad was overburdened with sauces.

It's one of my favourite restaurants in Athens. The atmosphere is really nice and it has a beautifull back-side yard. The staff is always kind and friendly. Located at the center of Athens, it is very easily reachable. The menu diverses from tasty tapas to more gourmet dishes, so feel free to try everything! Don't forget to take a look... More

The place is well located, nearby the metro and in a beautiful street. The staff is very friendly and warm. Food is good and portions are generous. We went as family and the kids (13 and 9) were treated very well.

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
