We ordered meatballs+fried potatoes as an appetizer, which were well cooked but the potatoes were small potato sticks (this is something I personally don't like because I cant understand the taste of the potato) and a green liquid served as a side dish was called "dip" (13€). As a main dish I... More

Been there quite a few times, either for coffee or for food. I have always dealt with excellent service, great atmosphere, good music, variety of tastes, and it is clean (eg wc..)

Although situated at a very popular area and could be ideal for a nice breakfast it doesn't meet the basics... very limited choices in the menu. Average quality egg dishes. Not so great coffee. Croissants are ok. Service during Sunday mornings is unacceptable. Sleepy from hangover! Be patient...

I went here with several foodie friends one Monday night. We like to try adventurous menus, flavors and we were excited by the array of options. By the end of the meal, we agreed that the restaurant/bar is inconsistent in the quality of its offerings. The sushi rates highly on our list. Fresh, succulent fish and a lovely dipping sauce... We've passed this place a lot and decided to go here for Sunday lunch. There's no menu posted outside so it was a bit pot luck. The menu when we saw it looked interesting but as the prices looked higher than we expected for something more on the bar scene we opted for cheaper items - a salad to share... More

OK so here's the deal - bar with a truckload of top shelf whiskeys and other spirits - served so nicely - music cool and dj unintrusive but greta ambience- food menu is trendy - no burgers - great sushi - IS IT CHEAP - no but then you can go to the pub for that ! Clientele suggests that... More

Not that great but neither that bad which makes it just an ok place to go. You will not regret going there but you will not leave either with a wow feeling

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
