Good range of local craft beers and a wide selection of international lagers etc. Good atmosphere, friendly service and the bar food (while obviously basic e.g. burgers, kebabs etc ) is good - in fact the greek salad I had was really nice!

Beer Time has a great selection of microbrews. It has the best beer near Syntagma Square. The area surrounding Beer Time is cute and excellent for people watching. As Oregonians who love their craft beer, Beer Time was a solid find amongst horrible beer selection options.

Beer menu is extensive though only 7 beers on tap and they didn't have 1 of the ones we wanted to try. We loved the free popcorn! We also tried the cheese filled beef meat which were delicious. The menu looked quite good and reasonably priced as well. The beers weren't cheap and we had just missed the happy hour.

There are not a lot of craft beer places in Athens, but this one is definitely worth the visit. Indoor and patio seating available in a fun neighborhood. And most importantly they have a great selection of Greek beers and some European fare.

We loved Beer Time! They had a wide selection on tap, and over 50 beers to try in a bottle. I ordered the beer sampler - which was great! It was a liter of beer between 6 selections, and the server was knowledgeable as to which beers I would like. Great outdoor seating in a nice area of Athens.

Wonderful range of local and international beers, good food, wonderful ambiance. Would thoroughly recommend a visit when in Athens. Staff friendly and maybe a bit slow, but rounds worth the wait.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
