This bar is nice has great bartenders - great cocktail menu - food is ok - although a bit overpriced . Worth a visit - during daytime they have an art gallery!

Visited this place, seemed more popular among locald than tourists. Prices were relatively high compared to many other places but the menu looked slightly different and had more special foods than other places.

A nice cafe close to Syntagma Square with tables outside. They have a nice selection of drinks and some dishes as well as beautiful salads. The service was good but not very fast.

There are 2 Blackduck restaurants in Athens, but only one is listed in TripAdvisor. The one we went to is in the back of the Athens City Museum, on 5-7 Paparrigopoulou street, and it has a huge multi-level beautiful garden full of shady trees and inviting sitting spots. The Bistro offers light fare, snacks and drinks. My friend and I... More

We arrived at 8 pm -relatively early for Greece- after an early show, and were seated upstairs. The lovely ambiance and extremely helpful staff put us in a great mood. We mostly went for the daily specials which were very tasty ( try the slow cooked pork if available) . As the night progressed the place started filling up, so... More

Interesting decor. Made the mistake to have dinner. Four appetizers really disappointing. Not even in the mood to order main. Lousy service ,food came late and almost cold. Served on a small coffee table with two side tables added to put the plates!!! Certain Cantines are serving a much better dinner.

had dinner with large group, given upstairs to ourselves. waiter selected food with our Greek hosts ;; selection of mezze and then a lovely fish dish. All well cooked and presented. Good wine list (no house red/white but good alternatives). Place downstairs was full when we left.. clearly the place to be.

We went for a business dinner two days ago. Its an elegant restaurant with gentle personnel and creative interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine.

Nice music, delicious cocktails, excellent staff and cozy atmosphere. The dinning room upstairs is not very spacious and the food is average. Smoking is permitted. The wc is clean.

I went there with friends two days ago. It is a very cosy place, you get a feeling that you are invited at someone's home. The music was great and at the right volume, service was very good and drinks as well. I would go there again if it weren't for the smoke! This is one more place in Athens... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
