One of the best tavernas in Athens. Very good staff, huge plates (don't give an order for all of you just calculate your order minus one or two persons !!!!) , very friendly staff. Prices are more than acceptable.

Great food and great family atmosphere! I totally recommend it. It is one of my favourite places in Athens. Big portions and great quality.

This is one of my favorite places in the area. It is what somebody would call a steakhouse, but not in the American notion, a greek tavern like one. The main characteristic of it? Of course big portions of whatever you order. I keep visiting this place, always to trying to get "different" tastes of meat. This time I had... More

You must try tzatziki and lamps chomp. Everything perfect as usual. Thank you for having the same quality more than 10 years.

We had a great lunch with a group of man-friends at Myrtia. The portions were literally huge and the quality of the meat served was perfect and well cooked. The restaurant has a plethora of traditional Greek meat dishes and is ideal if you want to have a large and full meal ! The staff is friendly and cheerful as... More

Nice family traditional tavern. Well known for its huge portions. Highlight of the place the free fried greek donuts with honey or chocolate they serve in the end. Only disadvantage is that sometimes you have to wait a lot to get a table.

A great tavern to visit! Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, great food! A very satisfying experience. And imagine I'm not a 'tavern' person. Portions are large and I would advice you not to order many side dishes. Also, the place is always packed and they don't make reservations so be prepared to wait a bit.

Myrtia offers the full Greek taverna experience. Cozy place, nice music, friendly staff and most importantly, amazing food. While Myrtia is more expensive than the average tavern (around 20 euros per person) the size of the portions is huge. We have visited the place at least 5 times and not even once could we eat everything that was on the... More

Everything is literally delicious! You must try the lamb chops, tyropites, and tyrokauteri!! Anything you try is very tasty. The staff is friendly and efficient. The service is quick even when they are fully booked. They also give you the most delicious loukoumades covered in chocolate after dinner!
