We booked this restaurant on the strength of other reviews on trip advisor. Our overall impression is that the reviews are overly generous in our opinion. The location is very nice, in that it is off the beaten track and the setting is quite charming. The owner greeted us on arrival and and bade us a genuine warm welcome. We... More

Ate here on a day trip to chania. Really friendly, family run restaurant down a quiet side street just back from the harbour. My wife is vegetarian and there were plenty of options, kids were happy and the kleftiko was very tasty. Nice to see locals eating here, always a good sign! Thoroughly recommend to anyone

We ate here on Easter Sunday and had the traditional Greek Easter meal of roast lamb. There was lots of Greek families also eating there. Delicious food, great service and front of house Maria was absolutely correct when she described the care and quality that goes into the food.

I think that the elderly gent with the smile is the owner but he is fantastic, oozing charm and friendliness. The food is first rate Greek taverna standard with lovely salads, seafood and you will not go wrong here. Staff excellent and location is great for a walk and view of the shops. Old synagogue adjacent is interesting too.

First of all, this was the last lunch restaurant we sampled during my family's (3 of us here, one 9-year old also) 1-week trip to Crete. We had eaten basically 2 times a day, so we had many culinary experiences already behind. The food in Crete is absolutely incredible, in whole, indeed we had not one single bad food experience... To begin with, we were so impressed with our late dinner the first night, we decided to come back later in the week. The owner and his wife both work the place and some of their kids are also on staff. We got local mezes the first night and were delighted with the flavor and simple preparation of the local...
