We came to this place with intention to taste some good Cretan wine and of course some food. We found it though not so easy since they changed management and name recently (new name is Ginger if not mistaken). Place is stylish with nice music around and pretty full in the evenings. However the service suffers due to many customers... More

I had dinner there a while ago and it immediately became one of my favourite restaurants in Greece. I love the atmosphere, the wine and the cheeses. It's beautiful. Highly recommend it. I would love to visit Chania, only to go to this restaurant.

A good variety of old and new Greek dishes, served in very pleasant surroundings. My wife's favourite dish was the jacket potatoes filled with mushrooms and cheese, and you must try the strawberry raiki.

We found Vineria by accident while exploring the side streets moving away from all the tourist restaurants at the harbour. What a find! & such a lovely setting in a quiet picturesque courtyard. The food is stunning - best pasta dish I have ever had & reasonably priced - my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed it - so much so... More

We have avoided this place for many years, since we thought it was a bit pretentious and over priced. It is not. We had a nice salad, excellent steamed mussels and seafood pasta, with a bottle of very good white wine. There is also different wines on offer by the glass. The bill stopped at about 45 Euro for two. Good... More

This little wine bar serves excellent Cretan but not only wine accompanied by really tasty Cretan tapas. If you add the beautiful place you have all the ingredients for a nice moment accompanied by good wine ( ask for "liatiko", "vidiano" or let the owner guide you) enjoy

It is first and foremost a wine bar with some truly outstanding food. This is no spot for "the traditional Greek taverna" food! We buy our wine in the local cava/deli which is run by the same people. Having checked the menu we were looking forward to visiting the restaurant. We had a starter of figs with cheese which was... More

Vineria is owned and managed by two of Crete's most accomplished wine experts. During the day they run an excellent wine shop and at night Vineria comes into its own, offering a range of dishes of the day, with a very impressive selection of modestly priced, excellent, local wines. The wine bar is nestled into one of Chania's quietest corners,... More

It is a lovely place with a special atmosphere. Prices are fairly reasonable and the overall quality great. The staff have a good knowledge of what is served. While here, we tried a couple of salads which were nicely presented, colourful and refreshing! My husband had the platter of cheese and cold cuts….interesting I can say. There is a huge... More
