The owner and Chef Argiro is a very talented and charismatic person. I have been a follower even before she opens this upscale restaurant. She never stopped amazing us with her creativity and perfect taste. Olive-Mint offers a lovely, traditional but classy setting, very good service and excellent cuisine. Every dish is prepared with well-chosen materials and offers a perfect... More

One of the best lamb shank meals ever in this beautiful restaurant. The service was relaxed, friendly, and helpful. You felt that the owner and cooks are really interested in providing the best they can without being the least bit pushy.

Just back from lunch at Olive-Mint in Skalani. Was thrilled with the food (delicious, fresh, not overly seasoned) and the service (attentive and very professional). The icing on the cake was that this restaurant has a NO SMOKING policy, an unusual thing in Greece, and smokers were graciously going outside to smoke. Will be coming out for Sunday lunch again...

The food in the restaurant is great as well as the service. We had "kotsi" that was huge as portion and extremely tasty.

Talk to the owner. Her name is Argyro and she will tell you all about her innovative dishes. Top quality, could be overcrowded during holidays and week ends. Not too far away from Knosos.

My fiancé found this restaurant online after looking for somewhere for lunch after our visit to Knossos palace. Despite our initial struggle to find it, we were very pleased we did! We were one of two tables in the restaurant on a quiet Sunday lunchtime and enjoyed a table in the sunshine watching village life pass by. The food was... More

The bell of the microwave ovens before each dish still rings in my ears. Our first disappointment was the herb pie. Although it looked delicious and very well cooked, to our dismay, it was cold inside. Upon asking a replacement, we were served the same heated up pie which ofcourse we refused to eat. The other dishes we tried ranged... More

Traveling from Knossos we decided to stop for lunch at this place that one of our guidebooks praised as one of the best restaurants in the area. Definitely fine meal especially the lamb with honey and fennel pie. Excellent salad too as well as the rabbit dish and the desserts. Also tasted local bottle of Boutari red wine... The finest... Lovely food with meats that melted on the tongue. Flavorful dishes and nice service. Clearly one of the best restaurants in Crete on the countryside.
