I went with a group of people after dinner to try out the beers that I was told, could not miss out on as they are the best in the word! Now, I like beer a lot, but do not appreciate people "messing" with classic flavors and types. Had a couple of different ones and maybe I'm old fashioned, but... More

The staff here are lovely but I found the clientele really awful. Just a load of hipsters who are trying to be cooler than you but it goes with the territory if you go to a beer bar like mikeller. I went with my fiancée who loves beer. It was verrry expensive, averaging out around £9 for a wine glass... More

I love the advertising and glassware was very interesting. Most of the beer selection was light/pale ale/ sour light ale. Im quite into my stouts/porters/Dark beer/Belgians so their selection wasnt anything I particularly would normally want to have ordered. About 12 or so taps on offer, I only stayed for 1 as they didnt have anything on offer for my... More

Hi Mark, sad you didn't see the other 8 taps as we have 20 in total. Also our bottle selection of stouts/porters and Belgian beers is out of this world! Please come back another time and we'll sort you out ;) Cheers More

I visited this bar with my husband on a Friday evening, it was packed out in a good way and we were instantly hit by a buzzing atmosphere. I did find the drinks quite pricey, I tried a sample of 2 or 3 before finding one that was drinkable (or worth spending my money on!). The guys working there were... More

I surely can say, the sour ale is a must to taste. And generally the brewery is amazing, beer lovers will find what to do here. On the other hand the place itself is whatever, nothing unusual or authentic, personally fo me the atmosphere is not attractive for staying here any longer and having long conversations or something.

The embodiment of Copenhagen hipsterism, Mikkeller is revealing what happens when a post-adolescent need for being comfortably different come together with pastiche and irony to morph into craft beer. (Never call the nice people there hipsters to their bearded faces though, they would reject such mainstream nonsense labelling). Nice enough place, cozy and well-designed basement bar. Very interesting beer selection,... More

This is a fantastic little bar with a good range of Mikkeller beer and some artisanal snacks If you are into craft beer you probably already know Mikkeller, either way you should definitely try them out. Be warned though, the high-quality beer that they produce does come with a higher price tag, even for Copenhagen. Also, most of the tables... More

Found the place by accident because we were eating at the Spanish restaurant next door. Quirky place that serves the beer out of barrels. Wondered why I got a small wine glass when I ordered a beer. Wasn't wearing my glasses so hadn't noticed that it was 12%!!!!!! Beers are all really nice and great atmosphere

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
