The best thing about this meal, being in Copenhagen, was the price point. The deco was decent and the service OK (a bit slow) and there was, technically, nothing wrong with the food--unless, of course, you were expecting something resembling an authentic Italian meal. If you want Italian, don't eat here. If you want a decent meal that is reflective... More

We wanted somewhere to eat early going to a concert at Loppen, we had no reservation, something we were told we would probably need, but we were shown or a table strait away we both chose the rigatoni which was really tasty but could have been a little hotter, defiantly New York retro style , not the most extensive menu... Went three for dinner. The waitress recommended highly their very tender, tasteful, US grade quality steak. We got convinced and decided all of us to order it done medium rare. It arrived with a nice mashed potato, but the meat was a great disappointment. When you pay 40 USD for a steak you expect it to be really good. But... More

A very good concept where you choose one dish for 100 DKK and then add the next for 50 DKK. Good food for the price. A bit slow service but nice personnel. Their Vitello Tonnato was very nice. The score now is around 3,5 but with some more effort it could easily go to 4.

After enjoying a wonderful meal at Madklubben Vesterbro we decided to gamble on a midweek walk in. They didn't have any tables but suggested that we try their Italian restaurant next door, Tony's. The menu looked good so we were happy to give it a go. Same concept as Madklubben - you pay by number of courses with a surcharge... More

Food was OK, but selection very limited. Prices were reasonable, but we needed to order extras to get a full meal. Cheerful, rather fast service - but as it says on the menu, the staff is hired because of their spirit, not for their knowledge of food. Very good, and very expensive beer.

We went to Tony's as our concierge recommended it. We were able to get a reservation on Saturday afternoon for Saturday night. We arrived slightly early but were greeted well and seated immediately. We had not been aware of the concept so we were initially not sure we wanted to spend 200DK each and have three courses. However, the women... More

Sad to say, Tony's seem to be more in love with their "manifest" than their food. As another reviewer has already mentioned, you have to have 3 courses and the menu is somewhat limited. I chose vittulo tonnato for starter, which was very good. Linguini with mussels for main course, which was good but nothing special. By the time my... More

Wanted to go to sister restaurant but fully booked so they suggested we try next door - it shares the loos etc! It was OK although the waitress was new and did not explain the arrangement well. They only do three courses rather than just a single course or whatever you want. Limit manu but OK. American beer for some... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
