Never would have expected to eat high end modern Thai in Denmark. Had high expectations having read this place has Michelin status. We opted for the shorter menu at the earlier time because of the expected snacks to be served before the set courses and glad we did as we were comfortably satisfied by the end of the meal. Food... Go to Klin Kiin if you want to be treated well by their professional and attentive wait staff. Also a great place to go if you like taking pictures of your food as the presentation is truly inventive. Take a pass, however, if you want to leave the restaurant feeling satisfied. We went to Klin Kiin three years ago and... More

I read somewhere that Kiin Kiin is the only thai-restaurant outside of Thailand to have had a star in the Michelin guide. That made me curious and I booked a table some time ahead of our travel. When we arrived we were seated in a lounge on the first floor, where they served us a variety of snack. All exciting... More

Now before you start thinking that live worms is part of Kiin Kiin's exotic menu, it's not! It's an unforgivable mistake for the Head Chef of such a notable restaurant to NOT CHECK THE PLATE OF FOOD before it's served out to the table. This is a crime for a Michelin Star restaurant! We pay them good money to experience... More

You are welcomed in the lounge on the ground floor, where you'll have any before dinner drinks and the first series of servings. Attentive service, nice ambience. We had the full menu including wine menu. The very first dish we had was a good example of the trickery and showmanship running through the whole evening. The waiter steadily moved a... More

This isn't the place if you strictly prefer well-established so boring dishes out of Via Michelin. But it is one of the best choices if you are looking for some originality at the heart of Europe. Thoughtful and novel dishes with surprising shows paired with a short but powerful wine menu. If you don't coriander you should tell them about... More

The food at Kiin Kiin is something out of the ordinary. According to some other guests Kiin Kiin is the only Michelin star thai restaurant outside Thailand (and there seems to be only one such restaurant in Thailand). It’s really difficult to describe the food. It started with many dishes (20 or so) while we waited for our table. The... More

Some things maybe too sweet/too salty. Overall very nice experience. Wine way too pricey. Excellent service

The staff (and owner) were exceptionally warm and friendly. The attention to detail and presentation were the best I have ever seen. It is also true that you must be prepared to relax and enjoy the meal, as this is not an experience to be rushed. It is a very different concept to have the appetizers in a more casual... More

Before going to this place we heard a lot of great reviews, so the expectations were high. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The food was beautifully presented and supplemented with some interesting theatrical elements, but several dishes did not deliver in terms of the taste. "Spicy salad with apples celery and yusu-scallops" was overpowered by the taste of coriander... More

Staying in Inner Noerrebro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Noerrebro
Located just north of The Lakes, this neighbourhood is a melting pot of small quirky clothing stores, dozens of pizzerias and eateries of all types, a street almost entirely devoted to antiques, several microbreweries and even a couple of Michelin starred restaurants. Here you’ll also find Assistens Cemetery which is an ecclectic mix of tombstones as well as a recreational park and where you will find the tombstones of famous Danes, such as writer Hans Christian Anderson and physicist Niels Bohr. Inner Noerrebro is also home to one af the most popular theatres in Copenhagen, called Noerrebro Theatre. It shows both popular musicals and plays, as well as productions of a more experimental nature.
