This was a truly superb dinner, our best in Stockholm. The host was exceptionally warm and welcoming, and was able to fulfill a request for a cozy, romantic table (we sat in a little booth or nook with brick walls on both sides that made us feel almost as if we were the only ones there). All the staff were... More

We where a group of 4. Different starters and main course. Nice restaurant and good service. Interior here is something special. Food was great with decent prices. Very big wine list for all prices and taste. We will be back. You will not be disappointed if you come here for a nice dinner.

Service was very slow and inattentive (from coat check to the bill). Food was good. Environment while initially decent, was actually very noisy for a restaurant of this level. The restaurant is underground with very poor acoustics, which results in a noisy environment. Overall, the experience did not match the price tag that came along with it. Would not recommend... Visiting early in the Saturday evening. Glad to get table for five persons without reservation but we did not feel very welcome. Soups to start were tasty, but the vegetarian meal was nothing special.

I recently visited the gorgeous city of Stockholm and on my final night I wanted to treat myself to a really lovely dinner. I had read about Fem Sma Hus and was intrigued by the food and ambience. I made a reservation ahead of time, and good thing, as this place gets booked up fast. The restaurant itself was absolutely... More

We started the evening with cocktails at the bar. Bebe was a wonderful bartender. When we progressed to the cellar Peter brought us menus and our drinks. We ordered and a bread tray and our first course were promptly served. The reindeer was excellent. In due course our entrees arrived and were quite delicious. Our world went downhill from there.... We booked this restaurant, because it works on Sunday! We waited starters 40min, we waited main course over 1 hour! Waiters visited you only one time during 15-20 min! Quality of food was very medium! So , I don't recommend this place! Never! PS. Waters don't decide to pick up dirty plates! My opinion: if you can not serve people... More

Had a business dinner here first night in town. Host selected a smoked salmon to start which has lemon dill sauce. I usually don't care for salmon but this was great. Main course was veal steak which was wonderful. Service was wonderful. Beautiful old restaurant that must of has 5-6 sunken rooms in old building in Old Town. Would definitely... More

We'be been there in April 2017 following Tripadvisor 's recommendations. The place is really nice: when you are shown downstairs it seems as if you're entering a cellar. Actually it is a quite large environment composed of several rooms, where the ceilings are characterized by vaulted arches that provide an old style, pleasant atmosphere. Food quality is very good and... More

There is also a modern conference room and lounges that are often used as function rooms On the menu you can always find dishes like herring, cured salmon, fillet of reindeer and a cloudberry dessert. Our parade course fillet´t of veal Anna Lindberg, it is served with morel sauce and potato gratin. Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
