A little bit too sophisticated, but the food is delicious. Worth trying. A litle bit more expensive than swedish average, but acceptable to sweedish standards.

We had an excellent dinner here in an elegant old World setting. The cuisine was superb - we each had our own half bottle of French white wine and we both had the fillet of veal which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is in a old historic building basement in old town. Very high quality food & service. We tried the Red Swedish caviars with toasts as starter and the Rein Deer steak in dinner. Both were pretty good. Should try if you are in...More

We passed by this unusual restaurant on our way to Stockholms Gastabud the previous day. I look it up on TA and immediately reserved for dinner the nest day. The restaurant is spread through the basements of five ancient houses (hence the name). This was...More

Got a reservation after trying two other restaurants that were fully booked but no other restaurant could have been better! The service was attentive but not pushy. The veal was the best I've ever had.

The ambiance is great in the cellars of these 5 old houses. The seating was crammed at least in our section. The food is good and the service is very efficient. In short a well oiled hospitality machine.

We asked our concierge for a restaurant in Gamla Stan, the old section of Stockholm, that had good herring and Swedish food. She recommended Fem Sma Hus. We had a very good dinner there. We ate on the late side, and I had an excellent...More

With a group of colleagues of 12 we made reservations in this restaurant. Downside of our number was the obligation of a limitation of dishes that we needed to pre-order. The restaurant itself is very original, a series of cellars with numerous steps, which could...More

The restaurant is overpriced and overrated for the quality of service and environment. The table setting is crowded and people sit too close to hear each other's conversation. Service staff not attentive. Food is ok but too expensive for the quality.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

Five Small Houses you will find in the heart of Old Town, just off St. George and the Dragon. You are welcomed into a superb restaurant, which is made up of nine beautiful arches. These extend over five house, hence the name of the restaurant. There is also a modern conference room and lounges that are often used as function rooms On the menu you can always find dishes like herring, cured salmon, fillet of reindeer and a cloudberry dessert. Our parade course fillet´t of veal Anna Lindberg, it is served with morel sauce and potato gratin. It is also possible to organize wine tastings as related to conferences or as completely separate events.
