We had lunch at nearby Den Gyldene Freden and read that this cafe served lovely desserts. We ordered and paid first at the counter and then they called our order. We picked them up from the counter. Self-serve type of scenario. It was our first...More

This Bakery was recommended by a friend of ours. It is very old and an ideal stop with visiting Gamla Stan. There is unlimited coffee in nice china cups. We shared a lovely quiche and a strawberry tart. Would definitely go back!

This is a typical old European style café. Located in to old part of Stockholm (Gamla Stan) overlooking a relatively large square, you can sit and watch what is going on. The coffee and pastries (fika) were delicious.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
