Our last night in Sweden we were bound and determined to have Swedish meatballs. We found this place within walking distance from our hotel. The food was delicious! The servers were friendly and so accommodating. Highly recommend this place.

I had the Swedish meat balls and it was fantastic. Soooo much better than IKEA. The mashed potatoes were great and the berry compott nice but I did not like the salad as it was simply to be pleasing to the eye...Much to the dismay of my hungry tourist stomach. Nice location right in the old town. No Wifi

My fiancée and I stopped here for some dinner. Nice little place in the tourist trap part of the old town. The decor is a tad run down, however the staff and food was very good. Service was prompt and we enjoyed a bottle of prosecco with our meal too. Not the greatest wine list or menu, and old scruffy... More

We ate here recently. The restaurant is located in Gamla Stan, the old town, and as it was a warm evening we ate at a pavement table. The menu contained a selection of typically Swedish dishes, and was reasonably priced. All our food was well cooked and tasty, and the service was friendly.

The food/price was alright but the service was not very good. We had the meatballs and the Chicken Club. Great amount, okay taste, very slow service, not a good stop if you're in a hurry!

We picked soft banquette seats round the corner from the front of this bistro. The menu was quite brief but had enough choice for us. I had an excellent juicy entrecotè steak with a lovely sauce and my wife enjoyed a generous bowl of seafood stew. The dessert option of combining a sweet, liquer and coffee seemed a good idea... The food we ordered was good. The waiter was not attending the guests and was at some moments plain rude. The location is ok, but not something out of the ordinary. The experience deserves 2 stars because of the food.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
