Me and three friends visited for a light brunch and couldn't believe the value for money. Stockholm is quite an expensive city but I only paid about £8 for a coffee, pastry and egg roll. The food was delicious and I would especially recommend the cinnamon bun. The interior design was quite quirky but also very welcoming.

Popped in for a coffee and a sandwich. Had a salami/brie -roll and latte. The roll was very tasty and fresh and coffee was good too. Cosy little cafe with relaxed athmosphere.

We are regular customers, and yesterday when we came we were SO dispointed! first the boy takes all the food with his hands, he even puts his fingers in the crumble cake, it was really disgusting. The girl in the back spent her time to eat ( and this in front of all the customers). The crumble ( smulpaj) was... More

Super cozy, retro style, café located at Nytorget, Söder, in Stockholm. Light meals and wine or coffee with pastries. Or both. Bohemian atmosphere.

What a lovely little candlelit cafe with antique furniture, vintage wallpaper, and cool old portraits & framed art on the walls. Everything is fresh and delicoius. The fika offerings are so yummy. You can linger at the tables and write, read, or work in your sketchbook. I did all 3. Have visited here approx. 10 times during 2 summer trips... More

I read about this place and thought I should give it a try, bare in mind that this restaurant/coffee shop can be pricey. It is located a bit far from the city center, food was good and fresh, liked the variety of cakes and the grilled sandwich which I thought was small, was very good. I rate it overall 8/10

A low key place by Nytorget in Soddermalm. Lots of inside tables and a few out. Fairly prized wines. Pastries. Seems to be a place where people occupy tables for a while.. Nice atmosphere.

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
