I ordered the lasagne, it was ok, but initially wasn't v hot when served which was off putting. They were happy to reheat. The coffee and cake was good. I didn't like that the toilet opened into the restaurant so constantly people waiting to use it waiting in the middle of the restaurant.

It has a nice dark corner, good coffee & service and good cinnamon bun. All you need in the middle of a day :) I recommend.

This cafe has the best coffee I've had all trip. Ask for the wifi code it's not written anywhere, decent speed wifi too. Selection of cakes and sandwiches, with a few salad choices. the seating is mainly table chairs, and a large chill out couch for cozying up. mood lighting through out, definitely a chill out place for coffee and... Great place, relaxed and a nice atmosphere. If you are here around Christmas, be sure to ask for their mulled wine (gløgg) together with a peparkaka.

We stopped in an the place was busy. It's a great place to get coffee, desserts, or something simple to eat at a reasonable price.

Really nice ambiance and delicious fresh cinnamon buns! Great place to take a break from walking around the city, especially on a cold winter day.

Amazing range of ice creams. Crisp waffle cones. I had a three scoop waffle cone the first time I went in there. Always crowded as very popular and right in the Center of things.

Called in here during one rainy morning whilst sight seeing. Polite welcome. Enjoyed a coffee and cinnamon bun. Quite atmospheric.

After we did our lunch at Barrels, it was coming to the end for our Stockholm weekend leisure.. I had noticed Muren the day before when we were walking around Gamla Stan and I offered my wife to eat a Belgian waffle before going back to airport.. Accepted :) Muren had a special rate on that day, waffle + coffee... More

I had a very Swedish ice cream called Salt Licorice and LOVED it. Salty black licorice ice cream at its finest. A very tasty and highly flavorful ice cream flavor.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
