WE have been theree times during or short break in the Swedish capital. As we stayed nearby it was easy to get there. Had a lovely New Year's eve dinner. Everything was great - service, quality of food and the atmosphere. Will definitely come again if visiting in the future. Waiters were always very attentive.

I've been here with some friends yesterday evening, for the first time since I'm here in Stockholm. I can find only good words to describe it! The prices are more than reasonable, compared to the average price of city's restaurants; the food was just great, the place is nice and the staff is kind! I will definitely bring some other... The Swedish traditional food is good and they have good prices on Sundays. Good beers choice. The style is traditional but might be a bit too old

Traditional pub, cosy decor and very homely. We visited primarily for the meatballs, which did not disappoint, comfort food at its best! We tried a home made schnapps, which blew our socks off. Really enjoyed our visit here, would recommend for tasty and traditional choices.

Best meal we had in Stockholm over 6 days! Food was incredible (meatballs and red fish), atmosphere was perfect- warm and comfortable, and the service outstanding. This is in a very accessible location and the prices were fantastic compared to almost all other restaurants. The meatballs were fantastic, but the red fish was to die for. Had one of the... More

Can't say that I am very impressed with the lunch I had, an avocadosallad with "skagenröra" which totally drained the sallad, so it was more of a skagenröra with some avocado buried beneath

We looked up this place before we went,it was located close to the subway station. When we first arrived,we waited to be arranged seats for two. They gave us a really narrow table to start with, but my husband requested and we settled down at the booth. We ordered a dish of fried pepper steak, fried herrings, daily soup and a... More

This restaurant is very close to the Vassa exhibit and a natural stopping place for lunch. The garden is just lovely. Select a table, then head inside to choose from the buffet or order from the menu. I chose the poached dill salmon which was perfect. I also managed to fit a healthy serving of their homemade apple pie. The... More

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
