All for a fair price. Very friendly staff. Yes, it's packed and you have to wait for a table in the dining area, but you just have a beer or two while waiting and all will be fine.

Since my last visit, they made new rooms in basement, but my recommendation is - do not go there! Yes, there is a lot of space, but it does not have anymore the Czech pub atmosphere. The choice of beers is also limited downstairs, and the waitresses there could not draught a beer properly. So if possible stay in the... More

I was there with three collegues. It is very popular, and we had no reservation, so we got on a waiting list, and went down to the basement for a beer. One beer later we had a table - thumbs up. It is Schnitzel heaven. 😊 Very nice place, the food was good and plenty. It is crowdy because it... More

We were going to have dinner, four of us, and a few beers. When we arrived we told the waitress we would like to eat and she said it would be about a 45 minute wait. We said fine and had a beer, and another beer, and another beer... After exactly two hours I went up to the waitress and said we had... More

This was a Rick Steve's recommendation, circa 2103, but either we hit them on an off night or they have gone way downhill since his review four years ago. Very popular and crowded, so expected good if not great food - but it was terrible. The eatery is in the back of the pub, and is very hot, stuffy, and... More

This place is always crowded. Thalas, do not dispair, the waiting time is within a beer's length at the bar. They offer amazing czech beers with some mighty foam! All main plates are truly filling and made with love. Everything is cheap! Probably the absolute best place quality/amount per coin in Stockholm!!

A cool Czech pub with great food. The service is very fast and polite. The schnitzel is amazing and quite big. I definitely recommend the place for food and beers.

This is a nice contrast to all the hip places popping up in Söder--a no frills, rustic Czech beer pub. The beer selection is not very extensive and consisted of 6 different Czech beers the day we visited. But they take their beer serious and serve it competently.

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
