We had a 3-course menu for dinner. The atmosphere and the staff were great. I liked the first two dishes (Räkcocktail and Grillad hängmörad ryggbiff), but not so much the dessert. This place is pricey, but I think it's good enough, especially to impress our business guests.

Poor Pontus. He tries and tries with new restaurants, trendy concepts, restyled interiors etcetera etcetera, but his establishments never seem to really reach that mark. Good food, and not a bad wine list (I especially like that quite a few if not all were available by the glass), but oh dear, what damage a snobbish/disinterested waiter can do. And why?... More

I had read about Pontus Frithof's places from visitstockholm.com and checked out that they were also listed relatively high in Michelin Guide for Stockholm so I made a booking for my spouse and I to Matsal for Saturday evening. The milieu was nicely library-like but the tables for two were disturbingly close each other. Getting our table went smooth enough... More

At our hotel, they suggested this restaurant, made reservations for us. The service was wonderful, the food a great taste bud delight. Great value for your money when it comes to fine food.

Had the pleasure of dining here on a business trip and had a fantastic gastronomic experience. A sumptious array of truffle themed dishes each perfectly paired with an equally palatable wine. Each step of this journey was beautifully described in detail. Will be back!

Considering the price, I had high expectations. Unfortunately food, while tasty, did not live up to expectations. However, the french fries was the best I had ever eaten. If I was to go back, it would be for those french fries.

We had a business dinner on a busy Wednesday with a full house. The restaurant has fine dining ambitions, but neither the food or service reached to our rather modest expectations. Service was slow and unattentive, food was cold.

Our family came here to celebrate the end of the year 2014. The food was tasty and delicious but the price is a bit expensive even though we had had lunch. Pretty worthy anyway.

We were disappointed to find out that most of the bookshelves in the pictures were nothing but 3D wall papers! Other than that it was an "ok" experience. Food was "ok", Staff was "too" friendly. Everybody speaks fluent English. Overall it's an "ok" modern restaurant. Definitely NOT one of the best in Stockholm. I personally don't recommend it.

I love how modern this place it - lots of light in there. Of course the food is as good - lots of traditional Swedish dishes with a modern twist. I liked it a lot and will try to make it back for dinner here.

Thank Anna E
