Minimalistic decor, but with charming staff, afternoon sun, great coffee and spicy pressed sandwiches, Nero always provides a warm and relaxing break any time of the day. Wedged in between the more business oriented Stureplan and residential Vasastan (as you might expect) lunch can get packed and a bit intense, but theie signature Penne a la Vodka alone is worth... I was seriously diseponited at this place. The staff was super rude to me and my friends and the food was only okay. Apperently adolescents are not welcome. When you come to the café you have to eat real food, otherwise you cant even sit there. Me and my friends are extremly disepointed...

We booked our Easter lunch here. We eat out a lot and are super critical to bad restaurants. I have 2 teenagers who are "foodies" and they were in heaven! We were all satisifed. I have a Gluten intolerance and they catered to my every need - finally, a restaurant who cares!

Had a quick coffee here as the cafe was closing 20 minutes later, i.e. at 4 p.m. The service was unfriendly. The coffee was fine and the little Italian pastry nice. There is a lot of grey cement used in the decor (floor, shelving etc) which did not give a fresh appearance. Then you begin to notice just how dirty... More

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback. Unfriendly service is not what we really press for. And I don´t know who worked that shift but I´ll look in to that my staff will be more alert and welcoming. The decor is concrete and grey cement. We can´t really change that because its as solid as concrete. I´m going to go through... More

Each time I type variations of Buca Nero on the Trip Advisor App, it brings me me to this place Reading other reviews, I see that they are the same owners, so here's my review of the restaurant and not the cafe Nice decor inside, I like the atmosphere created by the use of heavy curtains between sections Staff very... We were very impressed by the whitty, fast and knowledgeable service which in the end chose to stay. We had Cafe Nero's own pasta with a ragu of wild boar. It was very tasty. We also had their salad, antipasto buffet which was less impressive. Still, the overall experience was positive.

Cafe Nero is a popular Italian cafe in Vasastan, and for good reason. The staff are friendly, the coffee is excellent and the pasta dishes are delicious. In the summer, you can sit outside the front of the cafe and enjoy the sunshine and there are also tables in the courtyard at the rear of the cafe.

I went to Café Nero at lunch breack once and didn't like it very much. Then I was informed that they opened a similar place (same owners) just a few metres ahead on the same street (big black door, not so easy to detect) - called Buco Nero - and there I went a few times. For a foreign italian... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
