Excellent meal at a reasonable price (for Stockholm). Small and cosy with helpful, friendly staff ---

Excellent cafe/restaurant. Had a delicious vegan burger, my husband had a coconut curry. Portions are huge & and there's unlimited salad, water & tea/coffee available. Wonderful experience.

The food was quite average, a mix of many things that were tasty on their own. Very crowded but good otherwise.

Maybe a good place to go with your friends on a night out, but with your significant other not the most romantic place. Ordering from the counter and their colorful lights and plain interior keeps the place pretty average. However food was pretty good.

Good food, you can eat as much as you want, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Pace yourself and try the various options--they're all good.

Chutney is busy even on Thursday evenings so I recommend to book a table. I had a mild vegetarian curry with rice - I should have chosen something more exciting. Menus are in Swedish so I didn't understand much and just took something. Curry was nice, home-made and healthy. The restaurant is quite packed and it gets bit loud.

Really good vegan food. Have to try all the sauces. The bread is fantastic. If going for dinner, might want to get reservation since the place gets busy. Staff was very friendly as well.

I love this place, the only potential inconvenient was the crowdedness :)) I don't mind but just for you to know. Amazing desserts, fresh carrot salad for free, as well as tea, water, soup and bread. I will re-visit this place for sure every time I will be in Stockholm.

This restaurant has gone from reasonable vegetarian food to bad. Very disappointed with my recent visit. Low on atmosphere and tasteless food.

I've been to Chutney so many times since moving to Stockholm in January - it's got such a nice relaxed atmosphere and fantastic, simple, vegan-friendly food - my favourite is usually the daily curry, it's always so flavourful and hearty. It's good for families, couples and friends and they make delicious raw cakes for fika too! I'll be back many... More

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
