A walking distance away from the railway station, I'd make Sinisen Huvilan Kahvila an absolute must for any tourist visiting Helsinki during Summer. Uniquely atmospheric, peaceful and beautiful location overseeing the Töölönlahti-bay matched with tasty dishes and fairly affordable prices is simply unmatched. Just make sure you don't come when it's raining, as the tables are set in open air... More

This is a bit hidden place with the most beautiful views from Café. Töölölahti bay downtown Helsinki, go by walk or citybike through Kallio district. Nice Blue villa and lot of seats. Typically some art session at summertime at terrace. Also romantic place to meet someone special.

This is a place for enjoying a coffee in a beautiful spot in central Helsinki. Fresh buns and sandwiches. The thing is the terrace, so you'll need sunny and warm weather. More for the view and the surrounding than for the coffee.

One of the best locations in the world to have a cafeteria. They also offer nice selection of coffees, local juices, nice lunch soup etc.

This cafeteria has a terrace, which offers one of the best views in Helsinki. The terrace is located on a hill and it offers a superb view all over Töölönlahti sea and the centre of Helsinki. Warm sunny days are the best times to visit. But sure, after climbing all the way up there one does expect to have at... More

The cafe that is situated on the higher bank of Töölönlahti. View is beautiful, surroundings are nice. Coffee was okay-ish. Good enough for a breakfast coffee. Smoked salmon quiche was so-so. But the porridge was horrible, worst breakfast porridge for a long long time. Water based, tasteless. Also, staff there is not aware of the "combo" meals they are having.... More

This cafe operates in the summertime and usually between 11am to 9 pm. A lovely view over the Bay. Watch and hear the Sunday afternoon Salsa dancing on the other side of the Bay (behind the Opera House). Other times enjoy the summer evening with a light snack and coffee.

This is a great hideout place while pretty near to the city centre. Located next to a lake (not quite a lake but similar) and up the hill, it has one of the best location in town. We had ice cream and coffee but they serve hot soup as well. It's a great stop after a walk.

Great for sitting in the sun admiring the views while enjoying some very "I made this at home" cake. Almost exclusively frequented by locals because of its location, and bear in mind that (the last time I was there at least) everything's in Finnish.

One of those places I go to when I need a cup or two of coffee & a small cigar and some peace of mind. Maybe not the most obvious choice if you are looking for a café nearby; but if you like strolling a bit away from the city center or do ride a bike, this is definitely worth... More
